Welcome to Orka Counselling and Psychotherapy

Orka means energy, vitality and strength in Icelandic.

A reminder of the inner power we all carry along

with the ability to heal and move forward.

Therapy, to me, is a rediscovery and

the gentle return home to yourself.

Meet Mahika

Hello! I am so glad you are here. I am a qualified counsellor offering one-to-one therapy for adults.

I am currently working online with individuals based in India or the UK.

My work draws from psychodynamic and person-centred approaches, where I explore with you how your past experiences may influence your present situation. With this, I wish to create a warm, empathic, and genuine space where you can feel safe enough to reflect, grow, and heal, at your own pace and in your own way.

Individual Therapy (Online)

Initial Session:

Before we begin, I offer a free 20 minute consultation via Google Meet. This gives us the opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy, address any questions you may have, and arrange the practical details of our sessions. Most importantly, it allows us to determine whether we are a good fit to work together.

Review Sessions:

These would take place after every 6 or 12 sessions. A review session is a check-in to reflect on your journey so far, on what has been working, what feels unresolved, and to ensure the therapy is supporting you in the way you need.

Therapy sessions:

I offer 50 minute online therapy sessions on a weekly or biweekly basis, scheduled for the same day and time each week. This consistency helps build a strong relationship and supports meaningul progress in our work together.

Fees:

India: ₹2200 per session / (Reduced) ₹800 per session

UK:  £40 per session / (Reduced) £25 per session

I understand that financial circumstances vary, and I currently offer two concessionary rate spaces for those who need them. Please feel free to discuss this during our initial consultation.
